PRESS RELEASE: Mothers Can Regain Their Youthful Figures

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 31, 2012

Stamford, Connecticut – Childbearing is an exciting and rewarding experience, but many women discover that the changes which occur to their bodies in the process are less than desirable.  Eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly helps you return to your ideal weight, but it will do nothing to restore other areas, such as your breasts, to their pre-pregnancy condition.

Fortunately, you don’t have to pack up your bikini and resort to padded or support bras for the rest of your life.  “Women have choices now,” Dr. Rosenstock, a renowned plastic surgeon in CT affirms.  “Breast augmentation, breast lifts and breast reduction surgery have advanced significantly in recent years.  Minimally invasive procedures have been developed which allow for faster healing, optimal results and little or no scarring.”

Breast surgery is no longer something reserved for celebrities.  In fact, each year at least 250,000 women in the US have plastic surgery on their breasts.  The reasons for this are as varied as the women themselves, but there is no longer any reason a woman should not have the bust line she prefers.

“Pregnancy, breast feeding, drastic weight loss and time can weaken the supporting structures of the breasts, resulting in the loss of breast tissue and fullness and allowing the breasts to sag,” Dr. Rosenstock explains.  A breast lift will restore a firm, youthful appearance.  “If the breasts are the desired size and sagging is the only problem, a lift may be the only procedure needed.  Women who wish to have larger breasts can undergo augmentation, with or without the lift depending upon their personal situation.”

There are other women, however, who don’t want breast augmentation; their breasts are already too large, a condition often referred to as macromastia.  According to Dr. Rosenstock, “Macromastia is often a hereditary issue and occurs more frequently in women who entered puberty at an early age.  These women may become quite self-conscious about their appearance, and can suffer from chronic back, neck and shoulder pain as a result of breast weight.”  In these cases breast reduction can be a life-changing alternative.

“Winter is a perfect time to undergo breast augmentation or breast reduction surgery,” the doctor continues.  “While a patient can usually return to work within a week of the procedure, it can take a month for the bruising and swelling to disappear.”  There is plenty of time to get that pre-baby body back before swim suit season begins.
